Returning to the tournament is the 2005 National Champion runner-up, Joliet Junior College, Ill.,
Under head coach Joe Kuhn, the Wolves earned their berth in this year's tournament by
defeating the College of DuPage 74-72 in an over-time battle for the Region IV Championship.
This year's team is led by sophomores Ryan Owens, who averages 17 points per game,
and Adam Short, who averages 13 points per game. Both have led the Wolves in scoring for
most of the year.
Coach Kuhn said the Wolves are a "very well-rounded team," and they don't favor an offensive or
defensive play of the ball. He also said his team is capable of playing an up-tempo game or slowing
down to play a slow moving game. Kuhn described his players as "gritty and tough, very skilled, and
able to play together."
