Central Lakes College, Minn. makes its first appearance ever at tournament with a record of 21-8.
The Central Lakes Raiders made their berth this year by defeating Vermillion Community College,
Minn. 77-53 in the Region XIII Championship. Head Coach Jim Russell said the team is "happy to
be invited to the party" with team ranked fifth in the nation for defense.
Leading the Raiders team is returning starter and sophomore Kody Braddix who averages 16 points
per game. This is Braddix's second year being the leader in scoring for the Raiders. He is
followed by freshman C.J. Peeters, a 6'6" freshman, averaging 12 points a game. With most
of the team coming straight from Minnesota, Coach Russell said that his team entering the
tournament knowing how to play "team ball." He said his team is trademarked for defense, and
the Raiders are ready to share the ball and play as a team.
