Dominating the floor, the Joliet Junior College took a lead early in the game and never looked back, as they held the SUNY Cobleskill Tigers to a 20 point deficit throughout most of the second half, and finally win the game 75-55. Moving the ball swiftly around the floor and draining shots from all over the court, each Joliet player was able to contribute shots, with Ryan Owens dominating in scoring for the Wolves with 21 points.

The Wolves led off from the beginning of the game and never looked back. With 10 minutes still left in the first half Joliet was already up 24-8. By obtaining huge offensive rebounds, the Wolves were able to put up big boards and stay on top of the ball. Following through with all of their shots, Joliet sent the game into halftime with a substantial lead of 45-23.

The second half proved to be no different than the first, as Joliet came out with the same intensity they had left with. The Cobleskill Tigers tried to make any sort of dent into the Wolves lead, but despite their efforts were unable to do so. After a three-point shot was made by Cobleskill's Harley Fuller, followed by a free-throw made Anthony Armstead, the Tigers got as close as they would for the rest of the half with a score of 55-70. Joliet's Lamont Sanders made five of the last seven points for the Wolves, which would help to hold them at their 20 point lead to win the game 75-55. Leading scorers for the game were Joliet Junior College's Ryan Owens with 21 points followed by Marcus Moore and Adam Short both with 16 points. Leading scorer for the Tigers was Nyquan Bellamy with 13 points followed by Harley Fuller and Anthony Armstead both with 10 points each.
